INVITATION FOR BIDS

                                                           

Sealed bids will be received from qualified General Contractors by Midwestern Colorado Mental Health Center, doing business as, The Center for Mental Health (OWNER) for roof replacement and HVAC installation for the south wing at the Crisis Walk-In Center at 300 North Cascade in Montrose, Colorado until 2:00 PM on the 14th day of November at 2130 E. Main Street, Montrose, Colorado 81401, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the jobsite at 300 North Cascade Avenue at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.

Bids are invited upon the items and quantities of work as follows:

            Item 1- the installation of a new HVAC system for the south wing of the building – a primary and alternate bid is requested for this portion of the project

            Item 2- roof replacement including new cover board and 60 mil EPDM roof system with a 20-year system warranty over the entire building at the Crisis Walk-In Center

Contract documents, including Drawings, Technical Specifications, and the Wage Determination are on file at the office of The Center for Mental Health, 2130 East Main, Montrose, Colorado. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by stopping by the Center for Mental Health office at 2130 East Main between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and asking for a packet, or by emailing Janey Sorensen, and asking for an electronic copy to be emailed back to you or both.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of The Center for Mental Health in negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. In the event that the bidder anticipates hiring employees to work on this job, the bidder should contact the local workforce center for qualified candidates. (Section 3)

Prior to the awarding of the Contract, The Center for Mental Health may defer its decision for a period not to exceed (30) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders.
