Adjustments in Operations:

Essential city services, including water and sewer, will continue normal operations. All water distribution and sewer collection staff will work from home via an "on-call" routine whereby they will respond to urgent projects such as line breaks, line locates, etc.

To avoid the interruption of best hygiene practices like hand washing, the city is suspending water utility shutoffs for delinquent customers while working with them to make future payment arrangements.

Customers are encouraged to use the online bill payment system or make payments or via credit card over the phone, if possible. Payment arrangements can be made over the phone using birthdate and full legal name as a "signature" for any agreements.Check payments will continue to be processed. No cash payments will be accepted during this time. Utility payments can also be made using the drop boxes at City Market South, City Market Downtown, and our drive-up drop box in the parking lot east of Centennial Plaza by the public restrooms.

Customers are asked to avoid flushing wipes, and paper towels, even if the packaging refers to them as being "flushable." These materials are do not break down like toilet paper and cause sewer line blockages and significant problems with sewage handling and treatment equipment.
