Adjustments in Operations:

Montrose Police Department will only respond to priority calls for service.  A priority call for service is any situation where there is a crime in progress, traffic crash, or similar situation.  

The Montrose PD is operating under "Accident Alert" status for the duration of the COVID-19 emergency. Please see the Online Accident Reporting page for details.

Non-emergent incidents will be handled over the phone with a Montrose Police Officer. 

The PD lobby is open to one person at a time to accommodate social distancing

HOURS OF OPERATION - Monday through Thursday | 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.

CODE ENFORCEMENT will be operating in a normal capacity.

POLICE OFFICERS will be responding to all in progress and life safety situations, and proactively patrolling the community.

VIN Inspections: The PD has gone back to normal hours for doing VIN Inspections (Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to  6 p.m., closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch). Officers can still do away VIN’s anytime, provided that fees have been paid.
