How do I apply for a position?

Applications are only accepted for open positions. The City does not hold unsolicited resumes or applications. 

Employment applications and accompanying resumes must be submitted by the closing date shown in the job posting. 

To apply online, log in or create an account on our jobs posting platform. Once logged in, click on the job posting that you wish to apply for on the job opportunities page and select the "apply" button within the job details section. Complete all of the required application information and submit the application.

Applications can be mailed (City of Montrose HR Dept. P.O. Box 790 Montrose, CO 81402), dropped off in person (City Hall 433 S. First Street Montrose, CO), or FAXed (970-240-1492). Applications submitted by mail must be postmarked by the application deadline.
