Rio Grande Closed For Roadwork

Montrose, CO — Beginning Tuesday, November 19, contractors working for the City of Montrose will begin installing a new storm drain under Rio Grande Avenue at Riverbottom Drive.

Rio Grande will be closed to all through traffic at Riverbottom Drive for the duration of this work. Soft-closure barricades will be installed at Colorado Avenue and Townsend Avenue notifying drivers that Rio Grande will be closed to through traffic. Access to Apollo Road will remain open to traffic from the nNorth. The project is expected to be completed by Thursday, November 21.
