Waterline Replacement Scheduled For Wednesday

Montrose, CO — Beginning Wednesday, July 31, contractors working for the City of Montrose will begin replacing a waterline along Hillcrest Drive between Miami Road and Sunnyside Road. Following the waterline replacement, pavement along this stretch of Hillcrest will be resurfaced.

This work is scheduled for completion before the opening of the Miami-Hillcrest roundabout currently under construction.

Motorists can expect additional road closures and lane shifts around active work areas. Access to residences along Birch and Cherry Streets, including access to the Black Canyon Golf Course, will be maintained throughout all phases of the work. This includes access to the golf course for the upcoming Summer Music Series concert on Friday, August 2.

The city asks motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution throughout the work area and to respect all coned-off areas. More information and routine project updates are available at MoveMo.Co.

Questions regarding the project may be directed to Civil Engineer Ryan Cushenan at 970.240.1485.
