City Offices to Close July 4, Trash Collection
Schedule to Change 



Montrose, CO — In observance of Independence Day, City Hall, the Downtown Visitor Center, Municipal Court, Animal Shelter, City Shop, Montrose Pavilion, and Police Department offices will close Thursday, July 4. 

The Black Canyon Golf Course will remain open all day. Police Department offices will be closed, however, officers will be on duty and responding to calls. 

The city’s trash collection schedule will change in the days leading up to the July 4 holiday. 

• For areas west of Townsend Avenue, trash pickup will occur Tuesday, July 2. 

• For areas east of Townsend Avenue, trash pickup will occur Wednesday, July 3. 

Recycling collection for Thursday, July 4, will be picked up Friday, July 5.
