2019 Street Maintenance Work To Begin This Week
Montrose, CO — Starting Wednesday, May 8, contractors working for the City of Montrose will begin work on the Moving Montrose Forward 2019 Street Maintenance Project. The first several weeks of this project will include work on 6300 Rd, North 9th Street, and Pavilion Drive. Detail on each project is summarized below.
6300 RoadBeginning Wednesday, May 8, and extending through Thursday, May 9, a daytime closure will impact through traffic on 6300 Road between Townsend Avenue and Jig Road. Contractors will be milling and overlaying a portion of 6300 Road. This road will undergo additional patching and chip seal work later in the summer.
North 9th Beginning May 8 and extending through the middle of May, a hard road closure will be placed on North 9th west of Townsend Avenue, extending to Selig Avenue. Contractors will be removing and replacing the asphalt pavement.
Pavilion DriveBeginning May 8, partial closures and lane shifts will be deployed in the project area. The first phase of work will shift all traffic onto the east side of Pavilion Drive. Lane shifts will continue at least through the end of May.
Motorists can expect detours and lane shifts around all of these work areas. Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained throughout all phases of the work.
