Repaving Rio Grande From South 3rd St to West Main St

Montrose, CO – The City of Montrose Public Works department began work today to repave the driving surface of South Rio Grande Avenue from South 3rd Street to West Main Street.

This work will be completed in two phases. Phase one includes detouring northbound traffic to South 5th Street and southbound traffic will remain open during this phase. Southbound traffic can expect lane changes as work moves forward. South 3rd Street will be closed at South Grand Avenue and at South Rio Grande Avenue.

This work is expected to continue throughout this week and into next week.

Access to nearby businesses will remain open. Pedestrians and motorists are asked to exercise caution near the work area and to please respect all coned off areas.
