Portions of Niagara Road To Close Wednesday For Waterline Replacement

Montrose, CO – Beginning Wednesday, May 16th, contractors working for the City of Montrose will begin to replace an aging waterline main along Niagara Road from Hillcrest Drive to Townsend Avenue.

Pedestrians and motorists can expect to see isolated road closures along this route. While only local traffic is allowed within the closure, the eastbound lane of Niagara from Hillcrest to Townsend will remain open for local traffic only and for business access. Follow the posted detour routes around the site.

The City asks that motorists and pedestrians exercise caution within the work area and to please respect all coned off areas. Pedestrians and motorists can expect to see isolated road closures. Any questions regarding the project may be directed to City Engineer Scott Murphy at 970.901.1792.
