Ballots for City Council Election Arriving This Week
Montrose, CO – Residents within the City of Montrose, who have already registered to vote, can expect ballots for the upcoming municipal election to arrive in their mailboxes this week. The election is Tuesday, April 3.
Five city residents have qualified to have their names on the ballot for three Montrose City Council seats; Districts I and II, both four-year terms, and the two-year At-Large seat.
Candidate petitions have been verified for the following individuals:
District I
Douglas W. Glaspell
Jeremiah Quintin
District II
Dave Bowman
At-Large
Barbara Bynum
David Stockton
Citizens can register to vote up to and including Election Day, April 3, but must reside within the city limits for a minimum of 22 days before Election Day to be eligible to vote. Voter registration and updates can be made at the Montrose County Election Office at 320 S. First Street, or on the Colorado Secretary of State website:
GoVoteColorado.com.
Citizens can return ballots by mail or hand deliver them to official ballot boxes in the lobby of City Hall located at 433 S. First Street, or the Montrose County Election Office. Ballots can also be deposited in Montrose County’s 24-hour ballot drop box at 320 S. First Street. Ballots must be received by the City Clerk before 7 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.

Unofficial results will be announced in the City Council Chambers in the late evening on Election Day.
