Montrose, CO –  Adding yet another entry to her growing list of professional achievements, Montrose City Clerk Lisa DelPiccolo has earned the designation of Master Municipal Clerk (MMC), which is awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Inc.

IIMC grants the MMC designation only to those municipal clerks who complete demanding education requirements and who have a record of significant contributions to their local government, their community, and state.

“In light of the speed and drastic nature of change these days, lifelong learning is not only desirable, it is necessary for all in local government to keep pace with growing demands and changing needs of the citizens we serve,” said IIMC President Mary J. Kayse. “Your city can take immense pride in Lisa's educational accomplishments and achievement of this milestone.”

“Lisa’s continuing efforts to develop and lead in her profession exemplify the city’s philosophy toward supporting the professional development and advancement of its employees,” said City Manager Bill Bell. “This latest accomplishment is a fitting complement to her recent election as vice president of the Colorado Municipal Clerks Association.”
