Trash Collection and Recycling Route Adjustments for Veterans Day

Montrose, CO – Trash collection services that normally occur on Thursday have been adjusted for the Veterans Day holiday. Trash collection for residences located west of Townsend Avenue will occur Tuesday, November 7, and residences located east of Townsend Ave will be served on Wednesday, November 8.

Alternative trash collection days apply only to customers whose normal collection day falls on Veterans Day. All non-holiday collection days will not be affected.

Please note that recycling collections that fall on Veterans Day will be delayed until the following Thursday, November 16. Both Thursday green and blue routes will be collected on November 16.

City offices will be closed in observance of the holiday; however, police officers will be on duty and responding to calls.
