Community Invited to "Mingle with the Manager"

Montrose, CO – “Mingle with the Manager”, an event that gives Montrose residents an occasion to voice their “likes, gripes, and ideas,” will return as part of the city’s celebration of Colorado Cities & Towns Week. The event will be held at the Downtown Visitor Center (107 S. Cascade Avenue) from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 14.

“Mingle with the Manager” allows the public another means of offering input to and receiving information from the city manager, elected officials, and key city staff regarding a variety of city issues and projects.

“Cities and Towns Week presents an ideal opportunity to invite the public to interact with city staff and elected officials who serve the community,” said City Manager Bill Bell. “Face-to-face conversations are the best way to build positive relationships, exchange ideas and information, and share in planning for the future. Community interactions are an essential part of effective local government.”

All Montrose residents, city and county alike, are encouraged to attend and enjoy coffee and light refreshments. To facilitate free and open interaction, no formal agenda or presentation will be provided.
Colorado Cities & Towns Week, September 11-17, is an annual celebration designed by the Colorado Municipal League to celebrate municipal government’s important role in providing essential services, fostering a healthy local economy, and elevating the quality of life for everyone in the community.
