Montrose, CO — The City of Montrose will host a State of the City presentation, including an open house, on Monday, February 26, at the Montrose Pavilion. The State of the City event is open to the public as an opportunity for residents of Montrose to receive a current assessment of city operations and engage with representatives from every department within the City of Montrose.
The State of the City will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, February 26, at the Montrose Pavilion located at 1800 Pavilion Dr. City leadership will deliver a presentation from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. that will cover some of the most important issues facing the Montrose community.
“We are very excited to host this 1st Annual State of the City presentation for our community,” said City Manager Bill Bell. “This event gives our Montrose residents an opportunity to share in our accomplishments from the prior year and to learn about a few of our major projects for the upcoming year.”

Following the presentation, each department will host a table where residents can ask questions and receive informative materials about the department's operations and staffing.
City staff representing Finance and Utility Billing, Police Department, Water, Sewer and Wastewater Treatment, the City Clerk’s office, Public Works, Human Resources, Information Technology (IT), Community Development, Development and Revitalization Team (DART), Guest Relations, Engineering, and the Montrose Urban Renewal Authority (MURA) will be available to speak with residents. Members of the Montrose City Council will also be in attendance.
“City Staff are looking forward to gathering and talking with residents during the open house portion of the evening,” said Deputy City Manager Ann Morgenthaler. “We hope to see habitually engaged citizens as well as residents who are learning about city activities for the first time.”

The State of the City was created as a way to give Montrose residents more opportunities to learn and engage with city staff who serve the Montrose community every day. Refreshments will be provided.
