Montrose, CO — Beginning Monday, March 27, Montrose City Hall offices will open at their new location, 400 East Main Street, heralding a new level in the City of Montrose’s commitment to public service by being even more accessible to the community it serves.
Residents are invited to visit the new space to access city services, or they may continue to utilize online options via www.CityofMontrose.org.
To facilitate the successful move of City Hall operations from South First Street to Main Street, on March 6 contractors began systematically assisting various departments with their move to the new location.
The historic City Hall building was erected in 1926 and was the first structure added to the city’s own historic register when the historic designation program was created in 2019.
During the relocation process city operations have continued at normal levels while renovations to the new City Hall, the former Wells Fargo bank building, are being completed.
