Montrose, CO — Work continues on numerous fronts this next week in the city.
Contractors working for the city recently completed the asphalt paving of Hillcrest Drive. The road is now open with a few more side projects left to complete. This includes concrete sidewalk and ramps, park restoration, and striping symbols.
Waterline work on Niagara is nearly complete. The westbound lane is closed from Mesa Ave to Townsend Ave, with business access remaining open through the site. Please follow the detours and closures.
The slurry seal will begin throughout the city starting on July 19. It is part two of the two-step cape seal process. This work will continue for two weeks to seal all the previously chip sealed roads. The first closures will be in Windsor Village Subdivision, (Cimarron Street, Court Way, White House Drive) followed by Pennsylvania Street and Arizona Street.
The following day the closures will be the remaining sections of Windsor Village Subdivision, (Ouray, White Horse Drive), followed by North 4th Street, North Selig, and Margo Court. Please visit our project's website: movemo.co for more information.
The City asks that motorists and pedestrians exercise caution within the work area and to please respect all coned off areas. Local access will remain open for businesses and residents. Any questions regarding the project may be directed to City Engineer Scott Murphy at 970.901.1792.
