Independence Day
Parade & Fireworks
A fun-filled day of activity will help bring Independence Day cheer to the Montrose community. The festivities kick off with a pancake breakfast, followed by a parade down historic Main Street, activities at Cerise Park, and live music at the Montrose Rotary Amphitheater, culminating with a spectacular fireworks display at dusk.*
*Fireworks display contingent on possible fire restrictions.
Event Schedule
- 8 a.m.: Pancake Breakfast
- 10 a.m.: Parade
- 3 p.m.: Fun in the Park (Family/kid activities include cornhole, ring toss, washers outdoor game, blocks/Jenga, star chalk art, bubble station, cookie decorating, obstacle course, 4th of July 'cut and paste', and 4th of July coloring pages)
- 5:30 p.m.: The Montrose Community Band
- 7 p.m.: The Brown Family Band
- DUSK: Fireworks
Parade Details
The annual 4th of July Parade is brought to you by the City of Montrose and the Montrose Police Department. The parade route down historic Main Street runs from Pythian Ave to Rio Grande Ave.
