4th of July 2020 LogoIndependence Day

While nothing is more American than celebrating our independence with our beloved neighbors and long-favored traditions, this year, the City of Montrose would like to invite you to celebrate the 4th of July with us virtually!

Living in a small, close-knit community such as ours helps remind us, that even during these uncertain times, we can still pull strength from the vision held by our founding fathers when creating the land of the free, and home of the brave. So please, be sure to check back in with us for some fun and festive ways to help celebrate Independence Day ... because this virtual land was made for you and me!

Fireworks Voting Opens in new window

What About the Fireworks?

The city’s annual Independence Day fireworks display, one of the community’s most anticipated summertime traditions, has been canceled due to public health considerations resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Not to despair. We’re considering the possibility of rescheduling the display to occur later in the year when some of the current uncertainties are resolved. Please take a few seconds to help us pick a date via our online poll

An alternative date will be released as soon as it is decided.
