Ann Morgenthaler was born, raised, and educated in Colorado. She attended Colorado College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor in art history and obtained a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Ann loves living and working in the San Juan Mountains region, and previously served the Town of Silverton, City of Ouray, and Town of Telluride. While serving those mountain communities, Ann visited Montrose often to shop, fly in and out of the airport, and enjoy the bigger city amenities, so Montrose already felt like a familiar and beloved second home when she was hired for this role. Now that she is a Montrose resident, Ann enjoys the amazing community and nearby activities such as walking with her dog on the river trail, hiking in the Gunnison Gorge, meeting friends at local coffee shops, and watching the beautiful big-sky sunsets. Ann also enjoys attending her longstanding book club, learning to golf, fostering animals she inevitably adopts, and traveling with her husband, Cory.
