Individuals who are interested in helping to keep Montrose clean are invited to participate in the "Clean Up Montrose" street adoption program. The street adoption program is a way to keep the city clean while recognizing the efforts of the current participants and recruiting more groups.
Groups and individuals can participate by adopting one of the designated major or minor arterials in the city limits. The program is modeled after the CDOT Adopt-a-Highway program and includes signage as well as supplies such as trash bags, gloves, and safety vests.
How You Can Be a Part of the Program
The application process is simple, and there is no cost to participate. Groups are required to adopt approximately one mile, depending on the street, and commit to cleaning up their section twice a year. All participants must view two short safety videos and read the rules and regulations.
The Adopt-a-Street Status Map shows the streets that are available for adoption and those that have already been assigned. Please verify street availability prior to completing the application form by calling 970-240-1480.
