Sales and use tax accounts for more than 80% of the City's General Fund revenue.  Revenue performance is monitored closely on a monthly basis to determine the need for adjusting budgets and planned expenditures for the current and future year. 

Sales and use tax returns for a given month are due on the 20th day of the following month.  After all returns are posted, a revenue report is prepared and presented at the next regular meeting of the City Council.
