  1. Woodgate Road Improvements Open House

    September 10, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ City Hall

The City of Montrose, in partnership with engineering consultant Drexel, Barrell & Company, has recently completed design work for the widening of Woodgate Road between the Ogden roundabout and Oxbow Drive. An open house on September 10 will allow the public to get an overview of the final design, along with details about the construction phase that will begin in early 2016. The roadway design includes one through lane in each direction, dedicated bike lanes, a shared center turn lane, a new right turn lane into Wal-Mart’s northern entrance, and sidewalks down both sides of the roadway. Various landscaping, utility, and stormwater drainage improvements are also included in the project plan. The goal of the project is to improve vehicular and pedestrian mobility and safety through this corridor in anticipation of the Montrose Recreation District’s new Community Recreation Center (CRC) that is scheduled to open in late 2016. Roadway construction, expected to take approximately

  2. Mingle with the Manager

    September 15, 8:45 AM - 9:45 AM @ Proximity Space

Montrose residents will have a new opportunity to voice “likes, gripes, and ideas” at the new “Mingle with the Manager” event. This new informal meeting series is designed to enhance the frequency and types of occasions for residents to “connect” with their city government. It will be held every first and third Tuesday at the Proximity Space (210 E Main Street) from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. The meeting series is consistent with the City’s commitment to be authentically open in the way it conducts the public’s business. All Montrose residents, city and county alike, are encouraged to attend and engage in frank and constructive discussions about any issue involving the City’s operations. To facilitate free and open interaction, no formal agenda or presentation will be provided, unless requested by the public. Coffee and light refreshments will be made available to all attendees.
