What are the city's water tap fees and how are they calculated?
Water tap and capacity fees are charged for each new connection to recover the cost of the connection's proportionate share of the infrastructure capacity and to fund capital improvements related to growth. The water tap fee also covers the typical materials, labor and administrative costs of installing the connection to the water system. Water tap and capacity fees are specified in Section 3-5-12(D) of the City of Montrose Municipal Code.
